Father, Dad or What

I had about three step Dads in my life, one was a real father in every sense of the word, and a real man.
He use to walk for miles to visit us, all eight, never made a different in us, he would say 'yall are all my children, I don't care what your mother say.  He would bring us toys, clothes, vegetables from his garden.  We all loved him very much.  One of my brother when he got married before he did, he changed is last name to this man last name, even though momma had changed his name to his real father.  He didn't want his name or his children to go in the real father's name.  When this great man died, another of my brother told me as I wrote the obituary to put his name down as this man also, even though his last name was his real fathers. I made sure that my first publication of my poems was in his name, his name is David Lee Adams, I am proud to do it, and always will be.
I miss him very much.

  1. I don't know what happened to my other blogs, I must have (del)them by mistake. Well Bubba paid the deposit today on his house, and looked at it, said it was (ok). Anthony also seen the place too, he liked it very much, it's clean, nice floors, has all one person needs, the owner, cuts the grass, for him and fixes anything that's need it. It's also close enough for me to visit him, check on him, to make sure he's doing fine.

  2. Hi lil sis, just got around to reading your blog and of course surprised to hear that Bubba is moving to his own place though you will have some lonely moments like anyone whose been in a long-term relationship, it's very important that you take time to concentrate on what you want to do with the rest of your life. You're quickly approaching 50 (sorry if you want to share that info)

  3. I have a few suggestions for you, 1) connect yourself with a church that close & attend Sunday school as well. Many churches have single ministries that do everything from traveling to crafts. 2) Concentrate on your many hobbies that you have 3) Regularly visit the library and check out self-help books to expand 'your world' and get some ideas and lastly plan to visit us here in Atlanta and visit friends in other cities as well. love you and your are very interesting!

  4. Thanks for your suggestions, they are all great, I do believe in God the father, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, I learned long time ago, that I didn't need a church or other to have a powerful faith, but I know what you are getting at, I do concentrate on my hobbies, I love doing them and sharing them also, was thinking about going back to school when he leaves, taking up art and computers. Dot said she may do the same thing taking up the same subjects, I didn't know we were that much alike. I would love to come visit you and your family next year, would be good I think, funny I was thinking of that just yesterday, you read minds. Just to be sure Pink Lover is you my brother right? Alex
